QUALITY SERVICES IN BRUNEI

Engineering Consultancy Services

Velosi (B) Sdn Bhd is providing QA/QC and NDT  Inspection Services to the Oil & Gas Industry, onshore and offshore in Brunei.  We provide our services also to the  public/government and private sector elsewhere in Brunei.

Radiographic Testing (RT)

Radiographic Testing (RT) is a nondestructive examination (NDE) technique that involves the use of either x-rays or gamma rays to view the internal structure of a component. In the petrochemical industry, RT is often used to inspect machinery, such as pressure vessels and valves, to detect for flaws. RT is also used to inspect weld repairs. See equipment

Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a non-destructive test method that utilizes sound waves to detect cracks and defects in parts and materials. It can also be used to determine a material’s thickness, such as measuring the wall thickness of a pipe. See equipment

Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement

Ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM) is a method of performing non-destructive measurement (gauging) of the local thickness of a solid element (typically made of metal, if using ultrasound testing for industrial purposes) based on the time taken by the ultrasound wave to return to the surface. See equipment

Penetrant Testing (PT)

Liquid penetrant inspection is used to detect any surface-connected discontinuities such as cracks from fatigue, quenching, and grinding, as well as fractures, porosity, incomplete fusion, and flaws in joints. See equipment

Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)

Magnetic particle Inspection (MPI) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) process for detecting surface and shallow subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys. See equipment

Positive Metal Identification (PMI)

Positive Material Identification (PMI) is the analysis of a metallic alloy to establish composition by reading the quantities by percentage of its constituent elements. Typical methods for PMI include X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and optical emission spectrometry (OES). See equipment

Ferrite Testing (FT)

Ferrite testing is a non-destructive inspection method used to measure the amount of delta ferrite on austenitic stainless steel and duplex stainless steel materials. Ensuring proper ferrite content ensures corrosion resistance, durability and crack prevention. See equipment

Hardness Testing (HT)

The definition of hardness testing is ‘a test to determine the resistance a material exhibits to permanent deformation by penetration of another harder material. See equipment
